“Is Salehoo a Scam?”
“Can I make money using Salehoo?”
For the many people starting from scratch with nowhere else to turn for their research than the Internet, these are valid and important questions. Is their anything to the claim that Salehoo is a scam? What about other so-called wholesale directories, are they scams? Are there, in fact, any legitimate wholesale directories, or is the online wholesale directory field just one big shell game?
In my opinion, Salehoo, the forum, and the directory are legitimate. (For more information on the Salehoo forum scam issue, please follow the link.)
I won’t try to pretend that I’m impartial. I am, after all, a member of Salehoo, but that lends authority to my words. I can tell you that in my experience with Salehoo that I have never been treated badly and that Salehoo has lived up to its claims. It is important to understand, however, that Salehoo is not dropshipping service or any kind of wholesale distributor service. If you mistake Salehoo for a product distributor than you might think that Salehoo really is a scam. If you mistakenly think that Salehoo is promising that you will make a lot of money selling products sold by the distributors in its list, then you would be mistaken and possibly feel that Sale is a scam.
Although the forum may be the strongest feature and greates asset Salehoo has to offer, it is essentially a directory of sources. Think of Salehoo as a sort of advanced, but specialized phone book. And like a phone book, you have to be the one to use it. It, by itself, can’t actively do anything for you. Although Salehoo does provide reviews of suppliers and try to offer basic education to help you get started, it is ultimately up to you to take the initiative and responsibility for your own success.
To help give you a better idea, I’ve quoted from “An Open Letter Regarding the Great SaleHoo “Scam“”
SaleHoo, (for those who don’t know) is a directory of wholesale suppliers and drop-shippers. It is a membership site where members pay a one-time fee for lifetime access to a regularly updated list of suppliers. Members are able to contact SaleHoo staff and chat with them online about any issues they might have, and if SaleHoo doesn’t have a supplier for a certain product we will find one when a member makes a request. We have a lively forum where members are able to partner up with other members, and we frequently have suppliers jumping on the forum to offer special discounts to SaleHoo members.
Additionally, many suppliers set aside lots of products for SaleHoo members, so that members are able to purchase in smaller quantities than would typically be allowed, and we regularly purchase items from our suppliers to check the quality of both the product and service. The long and the short of it is we work hard to provide a really valuable service to our members, and we think we do a good job. If members disagree with us on this and believe they have indeed been “scammed” we are more than happy to refund their SaleHoo fee. SaleHoo has had a “no questions asked” money back policy since it started, and our people are instructed to act on these requests as soon as we receive them.
Admission to Salehoo is now $67 per year, although there may be varying price points so it is worthwhile checking the forum for the exact membership fees. Personally, I think that is pocket change well spent on important research into products and suppliers. If you feel that Salehoo is a scam, or for any other reason are dissatisfied, you have 60 days to ask Clickbank for a refund. You don’t have to worry about any potential arguments with Salehoo because all refunds are handled through Clickbank. No worries or hassles.
By the way, in case you are wondering, Salehoo doesn’t pretend to be a complete list of all wholesalers and dropshippers in business. Salehoo does have a huge list of suppliers, but just like all lists, even World Wide Brands’ OneSource, it is finite and has its strengths and weaknesses. Remember, research is an ongoing process.
Remember, too, action is free. Take it!
