Dirty Wholesale Sourcing Secrets

Be honest, now. Do you find yourself constantly searching for that one last product sourcing secret? The one secret that will be the Secret of secrets, the dirty little secret that will allow you to click your way to riches overnight?

It is almost impossible not to feel this way. This is the human condition, right?

I hate to say it, but neither you nor anyone else can click their way to riches overnignt. There really is no secret lurking in the shadows that will transform clicking into gold. There is a much promoted misconception that marketing on the Internet is somehow different than business, and somehow requires no work, planning, or effort, and although there may very well be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it does require work and focus to attain.

The lazier the successful Internet business person, the more work and planning that have gone into the success. Work first, “laziness” second. And that’s lazy like fox, by the way.

So, what does this have to do with dirty wholesale secrets? We have to keep in mind that the reference to secrets that don’t exist is a gimmick used to manipulate your behavior. The idea is to create in you the desire for something that can never be satisfied, and for which you will then continue to spend money in hopes of attaining. In other words, a sort of false vacuum of information is created in order to pull you into a funnel of poor commercial decisions.

Selling tangible products is a business. This post is about providing you with an access to products that you can then sell as part of your business. Whether or not you go to World Wide Brands, which is now coming to be known as One Source, or to Skip McGraths, list, or choose to look at Tim Knox’s resources, it doesn’t matter in terms of secrets. These lists are very much the same in that at bottom, they provide a list of product contacts. The list will not make you rich. Your planning, focus, and work may make you rich.

You don’t need secrets that don’t exist. You need, in my opinion, reliable product sources. For that reason, we suggest Salehoo. Not a lot of bells and whistles. A great forum and a great list of suppliers. The same suppliers that you could find if you are willing to spend 100s and possibly even more hundreds of hours looking yourself.

Two Big Secrets
You want some secrets? I’ll give you two! DBL and WYNIIT. DBL and WYNIT are two of the largest wholesale distributors of consumer electronics in the United States. When you buy goods at Best Buy, Circuit City, and Walmart, for example, you are probably buying goods in some cases distributed by DBL or WYNIT. Yes, you, too, can have an account with either of these companies. But my real reason for mentioning them is so that you can get an idea of what wholesale goods cost. In the case of consumer electronics, the margin for profit is not that great. Even more reason to avoid middlemen bogus wholesalers. And remember, from other posts and articles you should know that a true wholesale business will always require proof of a retail sales tax permit.

A third secret is that eBay is not always the best place to sell your wholesale goods. EBay has its own learning curve, and it can be difficult to break into already established markets.

Anyway, although you won’t find any pots of fools gold, for reliable product sources, check out Salehoo.
