Wholesale products to sell online are easily available . . .

and it is somewhat of a mystery why this should pose a problem for so many people seeking to establish a home, Internet based business.

I know that many of you coming to this page want precise tips, and you may want to see my posts, Finding Wholesale Products to Sell Online, eBay Power Seller Sourcing Secrets, and 7 Quick Start Dropshipping Tips. That will give you a little instant gratification.

However, if you are trying to get a picture of the broad range kinds of products available for wholesale and/or dropshipping, I have a few suggestions.

First,

Do some research on eBay to find out what is selling well. You may even want to use the Terrapeak tool to really dig into and crunch the ebay site for data. Take the time to examine the auctions of successful sellers.

Second,

You may want to try joining one of the online wholesale product distributor directory memberships. The two best known such memberships, World Wide Brands and Salehoo, do not sell products, but they have on record thousands of suppliers. They also take the time to verify that their sources are legitimate. I know that Salehoo also allows members to review and rate listed suppliers. Both memberships will “fire” product distributors if they prove to be unreliable.

Third,

If you know the product or products you want to sell, then simply go to the manufacturer and find out if, (1) they will sell directly to you, or (2) who their authorized distributors are. Then, establish a contact with the distributor.
