Virtuemart Compatible Dropshipper

I may have a solution for you. First, however, I’d like to offer a few words for those who may not fully understand what the question is asking. Virtuemart is a shopping cart component for Joomla, which is an open source, well reputed and very popular content management system (CMS). Sort of like a blog but on super steroids.

The Joomla CMS is so widely used that some clever and generous people wrote a multi featured, fully functional shopping cart component. A component in the world of Joomla is similar to a WordPress plugin. Its a ready to use piece of software that you plug in to the Joomla system. The Virtuemart component adds a complete shopping cart to whatever Joomla website you have.

What This Question is Asking
The person who came to our site with this question wants to know if there is a dropshipper who can provide a data feed for Virtuemart that will interface with the dropshipping company. The idea is that when someone makes a purchase from your Joomla site, all of the purchase and payment data will automatically go to the drop shipper, who will then without need for further communication send the item purchased to the customer under your business name.

Possible Solution
A solution that might work–I don’t know for sure–is Inventory Source at inventorysource.com. They should be able to provide you with a datafeed that will run on the Virtuemart platform, but they may also be able and willing to write the programming that will allow your Joomla site to communicate with Inventory Source infrastructure so that purchases, payments, and shipping are handled automatically. You will need to make some effort to engage them in this sort of dialog. This will not be a cheap solution in the short run, but perhaps but perhaps not so expensive in terms of long run expense.
