Once again, we turn to the Internet to listen in on questions that real people are asking about home business. Where do you start? Let’s listen in . . .
i am a mother of 3 and i want to start a home business. not excatly sure where to start. any ideas thanks
i have been thinking about doing greeting cards. but im not sure wher to start. i like to write poetry so thats kind of where the idea stemmed from. i dont really have money to market like i want though.
Let’s listen in on the answers:
A few things:
1. Don’t believe anything on the internet that says you can make money at home if you can’t try it for free.
2. Don’t offer to pull out a credit card for a company or business you can’t do a search on Yahoo and find out some info first
3. Don’t try any business you can’t actually find anyone who has been successful at it.I was a struggling realtor/home flipper here in Florida and going through my life savings with bad real estate investments. A local successful businessman told me about a company and a part time opportunity and I checked them out thoroughly.
You can contact me and i will give you the info you need to check it out for FREE! No credit card or personal info asked for ever. This is a real company you can check out on the BBB, you can google the successful owner/ceo. He just won a national award for this business and received it personally from President Bush.
I will also give you actual people you can call and ask their experience and a chatroom (not associated with company) where you can talk to others in the company. No selling vitamins or health drinks or any crap like that. (sorry to people doing that)
This is an internet advertising company that is gearing to be the biggest internet presence since Google/Face book and the owners philosophy is, instead of making one owner and a bunch of stockholders rich it will be us, the people who got in early and built company.
You can contact me at dapproperties@yahoo.com and I will personally help you.
The parts of the answer I marked in bold I think are worth listening to. I’m not sure about the rest. It is curious . . . . Actually, he is trying to use Yahoo! Answers to sell his own business proposition. I’ve run across this person giving the exact same answer to other business related questions. I leave it here as an example. Still, the advice at the top is good. On to the next answer:
Here’s an easy way to try your hand at eBay and see if you like being a seller:
I took 13 Sesame Street/Elmo DVDs that our son has outgrown, and sold them on eBay in separate auctions at the same time. I offered to combine shipping if someone bought more than 1. They sold for a total of $76, which is roughly half what we originally paid for them - - but I got a good idea of what it would take to be a part-time or full-time seller, and $76 was a lot better than having the DVDs collect dust!I’ll be selling my maternity clothes next. :o)
Surely with 3 children you have some gently-used baby clothes and toys, that you could start with too? And if you like it, you could buy products wholesale or from discount retail stores and resell them on ebay or craigslist or yahoo business, etc….
This person is having success with eBay. If you decide to follow her DVD business mode, check out the best online wholesale DVD directory. For other product sources, take a video tour here of an online wholesale directory and forum we think is reliable.
