Product Sourcing Shotgun Solution

I brought up the shotgun solution in an earlier post. Basically, if you are seeking large numbers of product suppliers or a really wide range of items to sell online, why not simply sign up for one of the good online wholesale directories? A good product sourcing membership can provide you with a list of hundreds, if not thousands of product suppliers as well as thousands of products. I use the word, “thousands” quite literally. A reliable wholesale membership, such as Salehoo, will verify that the suppliers are legitimate and will allow members to give the listed businesses quality ratings scores. I would also suggest joining a membership that includes an active wholesale goods forum.

I know there is a lot of worry and controversy over whether or not such memberships are legitimate. Two of the best reputed–not just by me but by general consensus of opinion on the Internet–are World Wide Brands and Salehoo. Although I have heard many good things about World Wide Brands, I have no personal, direct experience with it. I do happen to be a member of Salehoo myself, so that is what I talk about. But my point, here, is that if you feel you are lacking wholesale product distribution sources, or for that matter liquidation and factory manufacturer outlets, such a directory might pay for itself many times over in the time it saves in searching for contacts and also in research. Since Salehoo does include a forum, and from personal experience I know that it is well attended, you have that as an additional tool for research and networking.

There are free directories, in fact, I even mention a few in this blog, but to sort through all of the free directories you find on the Internet to figure out which are reliable would be an exhausting task.

Personally, I think the best way is to know exactly what you want, go directly to the source, and work out contract with the distributor.

However, if you don’t work like that–I don’t, for example–you may find benefit in casting your net wide, as it were, and sorting through your catch. Or, as I say, the shotgun approach. The idea is simply to cut to the chase, not spend time almost but never quite getting to the chase.

And that is pretty much it. You may the sort of person who would benefit from a product sourcing membership and wholesale goods forum. For very direct and to the point video tour of the memberhip I’ve found useful, follow the link below:

Well gosh; my dogs are snoozing–I hear them snoring across the room, my wife is snoozing, and it’s time for me to be snoozing.
