Dropship Wholesale Distributors Directories

It used to be that if you searched eBay for wholesale directories, you would bring up scads of digital ebooks, many showing an image of a near naked girl next to the auction listing. I could never bring myself to take a product seriously that would throw up a generic cheese cake picture as its sole means to recommend itself. The odd thing is, is that you’d see a page of these listings all with a picture of a scantily clad girl, except for the odd one with either nothing or an image of an ebook cover.

If you do a search engine search for dropship wholesale directories, or dropship directories, or some variation on search terms, you again bring up scads of listings, though without the images of scantily clad women vying for your eye. There are many lists and directories and an ever growing number of ready-made dropship wholesale businesses that come stocked with thousands of products, somewhat like the Doba.com site that I talked about the other day.

Choosing a list is a bit of a crap shoot. In an earlier post, I tried to discuss some of the characteristics of a good wholesale directory. In other posts, I’ve even given enough pointers for almost anyone to compile an extensive list of product distributor sources.

Basically, however, you are looking for characteristics along the line of those listed below:

Dropship suppliers
Wholesasle suppliers
Liquidation and closeout specialists
Access to factory manufacturers
Brand name products
Suppliers from China and elsewhere in Asia
Frequent updates to supplier data base
Supplier rating system
A membership forum
Training material a plus

If you are trying to build an extensive list of dropship wholesale distributor resources, then you are probably not going to restrict yourself to just one source or directory. Generally speaking, no single directory can realistically be expected to have all of the answers. It just isn’t possible. The good ones will have many of the answers you seek. The wholesale directory that we joined several years ago and have been quite happy with, is Salehoo. Salehoo has contact and company information for well over one thousand suppliers as well as an active forum. The forum, by the way, is where you’ll get very blunt feedback on almost any question you need to ask about distributors. We also like that Salehoo is not expensive, but aside from the matter of cost, it is a fairly safe risk:

If Salehoo sounds like a resource that might be helpful, feel free to take a video tour right here!
