Getting Wholesale Items Without the Middlemen

We can help you. We’ll cut to the chase. Getting wholesale items without middlemen means this:
buying from true wholesalers
Literally, if you want to buy genuine wholesale products without the middlemen, then you must, by definition of wholesale, buy from a licensed wholesale distributor. Please feel free to see my earlier post, Wholesale and Below Wholesale Supply Tips and the post, Business Permit for Dropshippers for an easy to understand explanation of wholesale really means.
Middlemen, of course, refers to people who are not licensed wholesalers but who purchase products to sell as retial. However, middlemen are not merely retailers, but retailers who strongly suggest and want you to believe that they are wholesalers. A real wholesaler will come right out and tell you that you need to set up an account and provide proof of your sales tax permit. A “middleman” site will tell you that their prices are wholesale and blah blah blah but never come right out and say that they are wholesalers. A “middleman” site will also never require proof of a sales tax permit.
Now, some of these sites are perfectly legitimate, and you may find great prices and bargains. It is, however, important to understand that such sites are not true wholesalers.
Enough. Let’s talk more about low cost goods. EBay is such a hot topic right now, that I wanted to mention other sources, eBay power seller product sources and eBay product sourcing approaches. Believe it or not, these are some tried and true eBay seller secrets:
buying from liquidation specialists
buying directly from manufacturers
buying auction goods
buying from thrift and second had stores
buying from yard and garage sales
buying from classifieds and reselling
One other eBay secret–and this could save you a lot of money in failed auctions, concerns the nature of the eBay selling environment. I talk about this more in my post, Must Have EBay Sourcing Secret. Basically, however, eBay itself is a wholesale selling environment. The prices of most mass market goods are already at or below wholesale prices. You have to think about what that means for you if you are buying wholesale with the intention of selling on eBay.
